Rennee's Restaurant and Lounge: Exceptional Dining Experience in Suffolk, VA

My mother and I along with my three children ate there yesterday. The food was exceptional.The customer service was great and I especially love the man that came out from the kitchen and talked to us. His sense of humor is unmatched. I didn't mind the wait for the food because I knew it would be fresh. The only issue that I had is that it was only my mom, my children (12, 18, and 9) and myself. I didn't like automatically adding gratuity to a family of 5. A 26 tip was a bit much, and then she almost got tipped again because I didn't realize it was automatically in there and she didn't volunteer the information either. This is enough to make me never eat there but to always get it to go. I would still support. However I would never bring my family. We could have ordered two more items off the menu for that. That's almost 30!!! Automatic gratuity generally starts at 6 people, not 5. So that automatically rules them out when we are looking for a place to dine in.

Yum for real y'all! 1st visit to Renee's as recommended by the staff of Autumn Care! No disappointments here. Service was super friendly and well versed in the options and prep of the meals. We enjoyed the Spicy Honey Garlic Pork Chops --- that sauce is Sooo good! Side of some of the best String Beans in town & good Yams too. Also, the Parmesean Crusted Salmon - 5oz of baked goodness. And lastly, the best chopped liver, gravy & rice in town. Tender & full of flavor with Mac & cheese!! And for down home southerners - there were chitterlings being served today!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

My bride and I recently dined at Renee's Restaurant, and we were thoroughly impressed. The food was excellent—we both ordered from the happy hour menu, which offered great value. She opted for the catfish bites with a kick of hot Old Bay seasoning, paired with fries, while I went for the chipotle hot wings and fries. Both dishes were flavorful, well-prepared, and left us satisfied. Our waiter, Rich, truly elevated the experience. He was attentive, friendly, and professional, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that set the perfect tone. Soul music played in the background—not too loud to disrupt our conversation, but just enough to create a private, intimate vibe at our table. Overall, Renee's delivered a fantastic evening out. We’ll definitely be back!

Food was good, try those philly egg rolls and the crab dip. The service and hospitality was even better! Please go patronize this establishment, I think you will be glad you did.

Brunch was great and every bite was so delicious! This establishment was very clean inside and the vibe was relaxed and friendly. I had the best crispy catfish and best grits I’ve ever eaten. The catfish was fried to perfection, was flavorful and perfectly seasoned with a very light breading. Food came out piping hot. The grits were rich, buttery, lightly cheesy and smooth/tasty. My husband had the breakfast special that came with French toast, bacon, eggs & grits. He ate every last bite. Our drinks were good too. 100% we’ll be back again to try your other dishes like the fried pork chops, fried chicken, liver and onions, turkey wings, yams, Mac n cheese, and hot wings. Can’t wait to return!! Thank you

First time dining here, and I will DEFINITELY be back. I ordered to go but it was still piping hot when I got home. I had the parmesean crusted salmon, green beans, and mac n cheese. All of it was simply delicious! I do not have one complaint. Surprisingly, my favorite dish was the green beans, they were seasoned to ultimate perfection. I can't wait to try more things on the menu. Keep up the good work Renee's! See you soon.

We came here for a date night and had such a great experience! Rich, our waiter, was absolutely amazing—super sweet, attentive, and so well-mannered. Felt like someone we’ve known for a while. Great energy and made us feel comfortable right away! We saw that it was Wild Out Wing Wednesday and both ordered wings, which were delicious and perfectly cooked. My boyfriend got the catfish, and I had the crab dip—both were flavorful and satisfying. The vibe was relaxed but lively, and the service made all the difference. The music was a nice touch as well. We’ll definitely be back! The only downside was that there was an automatic gratuity added to the check, and we weren’t told—so we ended up tipping twice. It would’ve been helpful to have a heads-up. Other than that, everything was on point, and we’d definitely come back.
